So I’m editing this m/m scifi story that I wrote a few months ago. I really liked/like it, but it was definitely a first draft. Now I have the basics of it and I know where the story is going, I can flesh the world out around the story and how it needs to be.
Where to place this crazy story is a whole other big question mark, but I figure if I have it good and polished, even if the content isn’t what the market is looking for, it’s something I can be proud of doing and maybe someday it’ll see the light of day.
This is probably the most fun I’ve had editing. Maybe I’m learning to love this part of the process as much as creating. Or maybe I just really love this story and want to give it a proper birth, even if no one else loves it.
