Basically what we’re doing with this is a “fight back” for what Christianity should be, which is all-encompassing love. That hating the sin and loving the sinner isn’t sufficient and that the church is meant to be for everyone.
It does have a happily ever after ending that may be considered HFN for some since they’re young, but this is basically the kind of book we wished we’d had. And we figured since things are getting extra fraught right now, this book may be comforting to some. Hopefully enlightening, too!
